Teara Dillon is a local artist from Leavenworth, Washington. She creates in many different media and has a passion to teach others to explore their individual voice. Teara believes that sharing unique views creates diversity and allows us to celebrate our differences. She is inspired by bright colors, the human form, and nature. Impressionism is a favorite style of hers, with it’s loose, quick brush strokes, thick texture, and generous use of color. Teara also feels that Cubism style challenges the mind and eye and reminds us that even though we are looking at the same thing, we may see it differently.
Teara has a BFA in K-12 Art Education, a Masters in Curriculum, and is a National Board Certified Teacher. At Cascade School District Teara instructs high school classes ranging from drawing, painting, ceramics, sculpture, digital media, and photography. You may also find Teara around town in the evenings teaching classes for her small business, ARTISUS. Being able to teach and create with such a wide spectrum has allowed Teara to deeply appreciate individual expression.
You can find Teara’s paintings at Sleeping Lady Resort, the Wenatchee office of Central Washington Oral and Facial Surgery, Tumwater Bakery, and in private collections.
